We are the Montgomery County Beekeepers Association of North Carolina.

Our History

The Association faded out during the 80s when the rise of tracheal mites and the introduction of varroa mites started wiping out most managed hives. In 2004, Janno Lewis started the effort to re-establish a local chapter. After a lot of opposition and nay-sayers,  Janno persisted and was granted the a charter in 2006 by the NCSBA. Since then the association has been very active in the community.
